Our Mission

The SoCo’s mission is to create safe, convenient homes for the people who make London great: nurses, teachers, fire fighters and other key workers. We are acutely aware that London is increasingly a viable long-term living solution only for those in social housing or the wealthy. We strongly believe that London’s value is tied to social mobility and community - different people, from different places, living together. To this effect we will look to provide affordable housing focussed towards the family housing stock that is most needed. Our Shared Living buildings are designed to house the future of London and in time return obsolete HMOs to the family housing it should be.

Our mission is to provide a housing platform for London, in an equitable and non-discriminatory fashion, that enables the people that drive London’s vibrancy to remain, living and thriving within its core, close to family, friends and workplaces.

Our all-inclusive rents are cheaper than an equivalent studio flat in the local area once its associated costs of utilities are factored in. Through this saving, we hope to create a route to buying for our community. Each community member will have their own studio flat, with an ensuite bathroom and kitchenette. They will also have access to the events, amenities, and community that we work so hard to cultivate. This isn’t just a home; this is a community.
